Storms everywhere

I saw the warning for storms in CA. Please stay safe.

We traveled throughout the evening in the first real storm of the trip. Rain kept falling for about an hour after we arrived in American Samoa.

Some other passengers helped me find the National Park Center here in American Samoa. It was a wonderful stop.

They had lots of displays covering the American Samoan life( there is part of the volcano known as Samoa). This is the oldest known Polynesian culture. One of the photos below helps to show that the volcano is divided by water so that the tips visible above the ocean surface are only a part of the total formation. Finally, a film was shown covering the art of making siapo fabric. That was fascinating.

Enjoy the photos

Cheers and good night Joe.

For you birders, a description of some of the birds found in the area
Just a picture taken as I walked the town.
