Mayotte, French Comoros

Good morning from Mayotte. There are four islands in this area between the mainland of Africa and the island of Madagascar. Three of the islands consist of the independent Comoros Union. However, the island of Mayotte remains as a part of the French government. Consequently, it has a very French feel to it.

I went on a birding excursion. As usually happens, I saw very few birds but it was a great bus ride into the center of the island.
