Paihia

Welcome to sunrise in New Zealand

As you can see, the start to our day was amazing. The Bay of Islands is beautiful beyond description.

I decided to visit the Kawiti glow worm cave. We were prohibited from taking pictures in the cave but there were an estimated 1,000 worms lighting the ceiling looking like star formations in the night sky.

Additionally, we visited the small town of Kawakawa followed by the Puketi Forest.

Famous toilet constructed by artist Hundertwasser in Kawakawa.
Famous Kauri trees that are similar in size to California redwoods and are preserved in the Puketi Forest.

We returned to Paihia and enjoyed the view of the surrounding islands. Enjoy.

Cheers and good night Joey
