Welcome to Tokyo

How do you navigate a city of 17 million people? Very slowly. In spite of overcast skies, our day and evening was bright and sunny.

You may have noticed that I enjoy gardens. In an older part of the city, there is a garden designed for public use dating back to the 1600s.

As you can see from the diagram the garden is fairly large with wonderful water features.

Enjoy the walk:

At one time, this gate served as one of the entries into the park.
Tokyo experienced a late winter which means that many of the trees will be blooming in the next few weeks.

On to Tokyo Tower for a birds eye view of the city.

Back to the ship for a nap and to get ready for our dinner with the Geisha women.

Yes, it is one of the finest restaurants I have seen. Join us for the evening.
Fabric panels line the lobby walls.
Of course there is a waterfall.

Let’s see what we will have for dinner.

And here we go.

It was all delicious.

So let’s have some entertainment.

These ladies were so talented in playing instruments, singing and dancing.
