Dubai, second day

I was so excited that I would be able to go hot air ballooning this morning but there was a last minute cancellation. So, down to excursions I went and found an afternoon tea at Al Burj. Yep, the high end hotel that was pictured yesterday. Not quite the same but I thought it would do.

Enjoy the experience.

Only apple juice

A couple of us decided that we would leave the excursion and take a cab to the Emeritus Mall. The daytime temperature was a dry 105 degrees. The mall was a comfortable 70 degrees. Dubai has 52 malls but this is one of the largest with an offer of more than just shopping. So we spent an over an hour at their indoor ski area.

We were given snow clothes before using the ski lift.

More to do than ski.
A penguin show.

The rest of the mall offered many of the same stores as we find in the states.

The change in schedule turned out to be a memorable day. Who knew.

Cheers and good night Joey
